Terms of application

All students willing to Apply to this country, should have a minimum of B1 (Language certificate) on German.

  • Students who fail to complete the Language requirement, can take a German course in Germany.
  • All international students willing to apply to the public education system (Public Universities), must start the undergraduate program with the Foundation Year, Known in Germany as the Studienkolleg.
  • The Studienkollegs function as a “bridge” to help you adjust from the academic culture in your home country to the academic culture in Germany.
  • To start your Studienkolleg, you will find two different paths you can follow.
    • For the public system, you need to apply directly to the university and the undergraduate program you will like to start on. Once your application has been revised, you will be assigned to take an aptitude test specifically for the undergraduate program you chose. For the test, the student must travel to Germany.
    • On the other Hand, For the private system, you can apply directly to the Studienkolleg. No traveling to Germany for the aptitude test is required.
  • After you successfully complete your Studienkolleg, you will apply to a University and start your studies with the public education system.
  • Private Universities in Germany. For this type of institution, you can apply directly to the University, no Studienkolleg is required.
